Framing & Art Centre is pleased to present an exhibition of original paintings by Winnipeg artist Marcela Salazar, on display until December 31st
From the artist:
A primarily self-taught, Chilean-born Canadian, I’m an artist who studied Graphic Arts and graduated in both Santiago, Chile, as well as Winnipeg, Manitoba. I work mainly with acrylic paints and mixed media, always finding myself drawn to textures and bright colours.
My challenge is to find a balance between the abstract and the realism of the subject. I have explored printmaking, specifically monoprint, which has allowed me to work with different materials and process.
